Passive fire inspection software for Australian contractors
Record every service penetration, fire door and fire-rated wall against its tested system and AS 1851, on a phone or tablet. Give the building surveyor, the owner and the fire safety practitioner one record for every inspection and the annual sign-off.

Built for how passive fire is checked in Australia
Every service penetration has to match the FRL of the wall or floor it passes through, using a system tested to AS 1530.4 and AS 4072.1. BORIS keeps a penetration register with each tested system, FRL, location on the drawing and photos before it is covered, so the building surveyor has the evidence of suitability at inspection.
AS 1851 sets six-monthly inspections and a yearly survey of fire doors and passive fire and smoke containment. BORIS schedules each round, records the baseline data and logs every defect until it is repaired, ready for the annual fire safety statement in NSW and the essential safety measures report in Victoria.
The first firestop and fire door management system built in the UK, now used by more than 500 companies.

The annual sign-off
Owners in NSW need an annual fire safety statement, assessed by an accredited practitioner (fire safety); in Victoria, essential safety measures must be maintained and reported each year. BORIS gives them one report with the inspections, defects and repairs for the year.
Who it is for
Passive fire contractors, fire door installers and inspectors, fire services maintenance companies, builders, and facility managers who need to prove every penetration and fire door has been checked and fixed.
Works on site
BORIS runs on iOS and Android, works offline in risers and plant rooms with no signal, and syncs when you are back online.

Yes. BORIS inspection forms can be set up around AS 1851, with six-monthly and yearly inspections scheduled automatically and every defect tracked until it is repaired.
Can BORIS keep a penetration register?

BORIS gives the owner and the accredited practitioner a complete record of the year’s inspections, defects and repairs. The assessment and statement are made by the practitioner and the owner.
Does BORIS work offline?
Yes. Technicians can work in risers and plant rooms with no signal, and BORIS syncs when they are back online.
